The All Arizona Showcase for girls was co-hosted by AZGirlsReport.com and ArizonaVarsity.com on August 11th at Deer Valley High School. The group that attended the showcase was very deep, but here are a few standout performers.

Cecily Wilson (Mesquite, 5-foot-10, SG) - An exceptional athlete and player. Wilson has the ability to be an elite defender due to her length, quickness and foot speed. She has also shown the ability to score inside and out. Simply one of the top players in the 2014 class.
Overall recap: girls shine at All Arizona Showcase
Deijon Williams (Desert Vista, 5-foot-4, SG) - Sees the floor amazingly well as a point guard. She can make passes that other players just can't make. Her understanding of the passing angles is very advanced. She has a timely knack for scoring.
Denesia Smith (Buena, 5-foot-9, CG) - A very smart player and understands the game. She is athletic and has both the size and strength for the combo guard at the next level. One of the top prospects in Southern Arizona, regardless of class.
Dominique Carpenter (Buena, 5-foot-9, CG) - A physical defender in the post or on the perimeter. She has good size and is an underrated talent. She shot the ball well in both showcase games. Carpenter displayed a very nice touch around the basket.
Jorie Mayfield (Marcos, 5-foot-10, SF) - Excels in the transition game due to her athleticism. She plays hard on every possession. She is very coachable and has nice potential at the wing position. Has imposing physical skills.
Underclassmen player recap
Renee Contreras (Westview, 5-foot-4, PG) - Was the best all around point guard at the camp. She never stops moving on both sides of the floor. She reminded coaches at the camp of a young Diamond Simon. Court awareness is among her assets and she plays with inspiration.
Sophia Anaya (Mt. Pointe, 5-foot-10, SG) - Played post at a younger age and, therefore, has a developed inside post game. Her ability to score in the paint and hit shots allows her to play an inside out game. Good size for the next level.
Taylor Blue (Peoria, 5-foot-10, PF) - Plays bigger than her size. She is very physical and vocal on both ends of the floor. She plays good team basketball, is extremely versatile and makes all the hustle plays.
Best of the rest
Airianna Sesma (Westview, 5-foot-6, PG) - Good fundamentals and great team first approach. She has good quickness and is a solid ballhandler. With Sesma teaming up with ultra quick Julia Cordova and the talented Renee Contreras, Westview should have very good guard play over the next couple of years.
Casey Wortley (Ironwood Ridge, 6-foot-1, CG) - A big shooting guard, and a pure three-point shooter who can spot up anywhere. She plays hard and her ball handling has improved a ton over the past year as she hit a major growth spurt. A player to keep a watch on.
Christine Miller (Mesa Mountain View, 5-foot-9, SG) - It was her first event since returning from an injury. She looked very good and did not play tentative. She has developed into one of the better players in the class and she should regain her form before her junior season starts. Look for great things from Miller over the next two years as she has become a good triple threat player.
Measurements - height, wingspan, vertical
Destiny Nasr (Shadow Mountain, 5-foot-6, SG) - Shot the ball well in both showcase games. Showed good ball handling skills along with quickness. Look for her to have a very solid junior season and seeing her game continue to develop.
Janessa Aukward (Sierra Linda, 5-foot-7, SG) - Has grown leaps and bounds over the summer as a player and has potential to become a "big game" player. She understands when to take control and is a player that is on the rise. She is playing with a ton of confidence.
Katie Martinka (Immaculate Heart, 5-foot-6, PG) - Athletic lead guard who has very good handles. She has all the physical tools and quickness to become a very good on the ball defender. Her post entry passes where very good.
Katlyn James (Arcadia, 5-foot-11, C) - Good inside player. Showed that she can score in the paint. Solid footwork and a physical presence.
Kodi Lamberson (Arizona Lutheran, 5-foot-6, PG) - Tenacious player on both sides of the court. Plays with passion and intensity. Lamberson has good court vision and is a pass first point guard that looks to make plays for her teammates.
Soccorro Ward (Tolleson, 5-foot-6, CG) - One of the top defenders at the showcase. She plays defense with desire and her offensive game is developing.
