This week we had to battle a very sound team! Agua Fria is a very disciplined and well-coached team. Fortunately our defense stepped up this week and only allowed 7 points allowing us to defeat AF 19-7. We had 17 different players recording tackles this week on defense, which was lead by David Abeyta, Victor Short, and Greg Taylor (11 tackles each). Junior Andrew Roche was able to scoop up a blocked punt for a score on defense as well. Special teams played a major role this week with one blocked punt and Derrick Coker raking up 78 yards off 2 kickoff returns. Our team defense also forced Aqua Fria to punt 6 times and only allowed 10 first downs.

Major gamers were Senior Seth Mejias-Brean who passed for 246 yards bringing his season total to 804 yards, one of the top in Tucson. Sophomore Ronnie Burton had his biggest game of his varsity career catching 6 passes for 133 yards!

This week we have our work cut out for us. Hassey and crew will have their work cut out for them as we take on CDO at home, which will be televised on Cox channel 7. The media hype should bring this game to a higher level not to mention that it will prove to be one of the biggest games we will have.
