Rivals.com Named the Exclusive Recruiting Sponsor of Schuman's National Underclassmen Combine
WYCKOFF, N.J. – Schuman's Enterprise, LLC, a leading provider of physical training and evaluation programs and skills combines for high school athletes, is announcing today that the company has signed an exclusive agreement with Rivals.com, recognized as the country's foremost authority on college sports recruiting.
Under terms of the agreement, Rivals.com becomes the official recruiting sponsor of Schuman's National Underclassmen Combine (nationalunderclassmen.com). The program includes all underclassmen combines conducted across the country for high school freshmen and sophomores, the Ultimate 100 Camp for Freshmen and Sophomores, and the Ultimate 100 Camp Junior Classic.
Company president David Schuman said, "This partnership provides our athletes with the opportunity to enhance their recruiting position by getting increased exposure through Rivals' recruiting database and media coverage. Now, every athlete who comes through our events will dramatically increase their chances of being seen by college coaches and recruited to play at the next level, thanks to these tremendous resources."
Athletes attending the combines can participate in all scheduled events, including the 40-yard dash, shuttle run, vertical jump, broad jump, bench press tests, individual workout periods for each football position, as well as one-on-one and three-on-three competitions.
In addition, the final results from each combine will be sent to every college and university in the country at all levels, including Division I, Division I-AA, Division II, Division III and NAIA. The information sent consists of each athlete's combine statistics, ranking and school and personal address.
The sponsorship gives Rivals.com full media access and exclusive coverage of the National Underclassmen Combine and its related events.
Rivals.com representatives will attend each combine to look at athletes for their rating and possible inclusion on its websites and on the Rivals 100 prospect ranking. They will also receive highlight tapes from each combine as they look for athletes to invite to their events for high school juniors. Top athletes from the combines will be featured on the Rivals.com sites if they are believed to have Division I potential.
Bobby Burton, chief operating officer of Rivals.com, said, "This partnership fits in perfectly with our company mission. Over the years, we have grown to become the nation's undisputed authority on college football recruiting. So working closely with the National Underclassmen Combine will be an integral part of the process for Rivals.com."
The National Underclassmen Combine will conduct 54 events during 2008 in every major city in the U.S. Schuman says the combines will help 15,000 athletes get early exposure to recruiting services and colleges to give them the best and earliest opportunity to gain a football scholarship or to get to a better school through football.
