In a Big Sky Conference matchup between the NAU Lumberjacks and the UC Davis Aggies, former Casa Grande State Championship winning QB, Angel Flores, led the Jacks to a 38-21 victory in the Skydome on NAU's homecoming. A Lumberjacks' roster that is loaded with Arizona high school football alums, many of those players shined in the 17-point victory over the Aggies.

NAU QB Angel Flores (Casa Grande) 

Lumberjacks' redshirt-freshman QB, Angel Flores, had himself a day in Saturday's win over the Aggies. The former Casa Grande Cougars' alum racked up 212 total-yards and completed the rare hat-trick in offensive touchdowns, recording a passing, rushing, and even hauling in a receiving touchdown in the 4th Quarter. Flores' dual-threat ability was on full-display as he led the Lumberjacks in carries and rushing yards on the day.

NAU WR Coleman Owen (Higley)

NAU's leading wide-receiver finished with a pair of receptions for 31 yards, with a long reception of 24-yards in the Lumberjacks victory.

NAU WR Hendrix Johnson (Boulder Creek) 

Johnson, an All-American WR for the Lumberjacks, finished with a team-high three receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown. Johnson showed off his athleticism and body-control, hauling in a 3rd Quarter touchdown on a fade-route where he was able to plant both feet in-bounds for the score.

NAU DB Zach Lewis (Hamilton) 

Lewis recorded five solo tackles in the win, but the Nevada transfer and Hamilton Huskies' alum came away with one of the biggest plays in the 2nd Half when he ripped the ball away from an Aggies' WR on a deep-in route, coming away with a huge interception for the NAU defense.

NAU DL Eloi Kwete (Central)

Eloi Kwete was a monster for the NAU defense on Saturday. The NAU senior DL and Central Bobcat alum finished with 7 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and two quarterback hits. Kwete was in on the play-of-the-game for the Lumberjacks defensively, where he sprinted off the left edge in the 2nd Quarter, and hunted down the Aggies' QB, causing a fumble and a scoop-and-score touchdown from NAU's George Steele.

NAU safety Alex McLaughlin (Hamilton) 

Alex McLaughlin has quickly emerged as one of NAU's best defensive players. The Lumberjacks' freshman and Hamilton alum racked up a solo tackle and intercepted a pass that he returned 57-yards late in the 1st quarter.
