Are you a Track & Field athlete, and do you want to learn more about your event area and increase your SPEED, AGILITY, POWER, or STRENGTH?
CAMP FEATURES~
Tucson Elite Track & Field Camp will teach all event areas (i.e. pole vault, sprints, jumps, throws) and all aspects of how to become a better athlete and have better performances, from beginners to Junior Elite level athletes. Sessions will be staged in small groups to encourage personal attention and plenty of feedback.
LEARN FROM THE BEST~
The Camp is conducted by University of Arizona track coaches Sheldon Blockburger and Francesca Green, as well as a staff of outstanding Wildcat Athletes.
Sheldon Blockburger is currently the Assistant Jumps Coach at the University of Arizona. He has coached 4 National Champions, 16 All-Americans, and 20 Big West Champions. As an athlete, himself, he won the SEC Decathlon championship in 1986, set the Indoor Pentathlon World Record in 1987, and won a bronze medal in the Decathlon in the 1991 Pan-American games.
Francesca Green is currently the Director of Operations at The University of Arizona. While a coach at Washington State University, she trained 5 All-Americans, 3 Pac-10 Champions; one athlete went on to compete in the 2002 Pan-American games and World Championships. As an athlete, herself, she was the Pac-10 long jump Champion in 1996 and 1998 and a two-time All-American in the long jump. She was a member of the Junior World Championship team in 1996 and was ranked 15th in country in the Long Jump during the 2004 Olympic year.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED~
-Practice gear, shorts, shoes, sunscreen and toiletries. Bring specialty shoes, if you have them.
-Warm-up gear (sweat pants and sweat shirt)
-Casual clothes (jeans, shorts, shirts for free time wear)
-Water Bottle
-Snacks
MEALS~
Lunch & Dinner will be provided to all overnight campers. Commuter campers will receive lunch & dinner. Transportation will be provided to all meals. See tentative daily schedule for meal times.
HOTEL~
Hotel rooms will be assigned once registration form is received.
Three campers will be assigned to a room based on age and gender. (Supervision will be provided)…

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT~
Athletes will check in Wednesday, January 3, 2006 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Roy P. Drachman Stadium on the corner of Plumer and 15th St. Check-out will also be at Roy P. Drachman Stadium at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 6th.
