Last Saturday at Citrus College in Glendora, California, 1,232 participants showed up for the Rivals Combine. Among the attendees were around 70 prospects from the state of Arizona, and quite a few had a very good showing.
Among some of the highlights:
-2019 Pinnacle DB Quinton Powell ran the 7th fasted 40-yard dash
-Jacobby Dinwiddie earned an invite to the next days' Rivals camp with his showing in the 40 and Broad Jump
-Kaleb Covington (2019 Pinnacle RB) and Terrell Hayward (2019 Cienega CB) placed in the top 12 among AZ prospects in every category
-2018 Perry safety Braden Ford joined Kaleb Covington to be the only player to rank in the top 5 in the Broad Jump, Vertical, and 40-yard Dash (among AZ prospects)
-Verrado's Jimmy Richardson (2019 WR) ran the fastest 5-10-5 shuttle drill of anyone at the camp
-Delano Salgado (2018 Mountain Pointe ATH), Preston Helu (2019 Ironwood Ridge LB) and Alex Escobar (2018 Centennial RB) had some of the top all-around performances of any Arizona prospect.
- Verrado had a player in the 10 in every category (among AZ prospects)
