Perryman has been the publisher for ArizonaVarsity.com (Arizona's High School site in the Rivals.com Network) since September, 2004. As a 1982 Arizona State alumnus Perryman has been active in the Arizona sports community for over 30 years, dating back to his competitive powerlifting days while studying at ASU. Publishing in the Rivals network has allowed Perryman to analyze and report on all aspects of the college recruiting process. With D1 athletes in his family, including a Rose Bowl MVP, Perryman has experience in the recruiting process not only from a local prospect standpoint, but as a parent. Perryman was a coach at the Michael Jordan Flight School at UC Santa Barbara for four straight summers, and had the opportunity to guest speak at the national level for youth and high school sports. At ArizonaVarsity.com one of his many responsibilities is the release and accuracy of player prospect rankings in Arizona.
Perryman has three Sun Devils in his family, including his wife of 32 years, and his first born, 2006. He and his wife both attended high school in the valley. He has too many fond memories of ASU to list, but sitting next to Danny White his freshman year in high school, working out in the presence of Frank Kush at the old Western Reserve Club in Tempe, climbing up ASU Mountain in the 70's to watch (for free) a game with two casts on his legs, and coaching defense for Zach Miller's Pop Warner team are just a few deeply engrained and cherished ASU memories.
Perryman's main responsibility for ASUDevils.com is to coordinate, manage and empower the extensive staff we have assembled to bring our passionate ASU fans the best, most comprehensive and up-to-date information - and create the best place to hang out and talk anything ASU.
